I’m fucking furious.
I’m fucking furious because in this day and age we still need days like this.
I’m fucking furious that the LGBTQ+ community is once again dealing with escalating hatred, rhetoric, violence, and fear.
I’m fucking furious because some people still have to measure safety before honesty.
Today is not about performance or slogans for me.
It’s personal.
It is about the people who spent years hiding parts of themselves just to survive. The people rejected by families, churches, communities, governments, and sometimes even by themselves because fear was taught before acceptance ever was.
Some people still live in places where being honest about who they are can cost them safety, family, work, or even their lives.
So today matters.
Not because humanity suddenly solved hatred.
But because visibility still matters.
Compassion still matters.
Protection still matters.
And to anyone quietly carrying that weight:
you are not less human because the world made you afraid.
You are not less human for being who you are.
And you have the right to be fucking furious too.
